Brown’s Glass contacted us a while ago to see if we could produce a commercial about glass shower enclosures for him.  ”A commercial?? For TV???  Heck yes we will produce a commercial!”  We had never done a commercial.  So, we were excited to take on something new.  Of course, our first commercial would be all about glass.  You might think to yourself ” Whats the big deal with glass?”.  REFLECTIONS!  REFLECTIONS! REFLECTIONS!   I learned a lot about blocking light and working angles really quickly.  If a showroom filled with glass shower enclosures was’t bad enough, the whole back wall was covered in mirrors!I can’t count the times I said “action….cut” just to tweak how far the salesman opens the showerdoor, or to move a light four inches to the left or right.  In the end, the client was happy, and we were happy.  This commercial taught us to be meticulous with the details and to be flexible with the planning.  It is always hard to predict  how light will react in a certain space on a certain day.  We changed up our game plan 100% on the day of the shoot, but it worked out nice.   A big thanks goes to  Carol Hogan and Tory Keefer for the acting and Amanda Mustard for the voice talent.
